The smell is kind of strange but pleasant scent isn't it's function. I do notice a much smoother shave when I apply the oil before the shave butter and it never gunks up my razor.

I like this product, but I wouldn't say it's necessary. I like the way it smells and the ways it feels, but I have to say I haven't noticed a difference between when I use it and when I don't, other than my skin smells like solar flair longer when I use it.

This helps make your skin ready for shaving. It feels very invigorating! I just think it definitely makes shave that much better.

This wash smells great. My husband uses it as well as myself, I found this step (skincare prep) to be unnecessary for my shaving ritual, but he loves it.
